The area
Inner-loop pool work, done with care
Loop 610 West is some of Houston's most desirable real estate — and some of its most particular pool work. Lots are smaller and shapes are unusual, which means custom design matters more than it does in suburban backyards. River Oaks brings estate-scale homes with mature landscaping. The Heights is full of bungalows and craftsman remodels with little backyards that need clever pool design. Upper Kirby and Galleria-area homes vary widely in age and style.
Inner-loop pool work tends to be precision work. Tight access, neighbor proximity, established trees, and existing landscaping all factor in. The pools themselves are often smaller — plunge pools, cocktail pools, and lap pools are more common here than the sprawling family pools out in West Houston.
