Financing
Pool Financing, Without the Runaround
A new pool or a full renovation is a real investment, and most of the projects we build are financed. Our preferred lender is Lyon Financial — swimming pool financing specialists since 1979 — but the honest truth is any funding path works with us. We build the pool; you pick the money.
How it works
Three steps, in the order that protects you
The quote comes first — always. Borrowing against a guess is how backyard projects go sideways.
1
Get your itemized quote
We design the project and give you a free, itemized number — pool, decking, equipment, extras, each on its own line. You size the borrowing to the real project, not a guess.
2
Apply online
Apply with Lyon Financial online, or take our quote to your own bank or credit union. Approval, rates, and terms come directly from the lender — we stay out of your loan.
3
We build
Once funding is in place, we schedule the work. Payments follow a construction draw schedule that tracks completed work — never most of the money before the dig.
Preferred lender
Why we point people to Lyon Financial
Customers kept asking us where to even start with pool loans, so we found a lender that does nothing but this. Lyon has financed swimming pools and outdoor projects since 1979 — they know what a gunite construction schedule looks like, and their process runs online from application through funding.
- ·Swimming pool financing specialists since 1979
- ·Loan amounts up to $250,000, terms up to 30 years
- ·Online application with a dedicated team from approval to funding
- ·Reduced-fee program for veterans and active-duty military
Applications, approvals, rates, and terms are handled entirely by Lyon Financial and are subject to credit approval. Current loan details are on Lyon’s site.
Any funding path works
Lyon is our preferred lender, not a requirement. Plenty of our customers pay cash or borrow through their own bank, credit union, or home equity — and it makes no difference on our end. Your quote is the same itemized number either way.
That itemized quote is what makes any of it work: the pool, decking, and equipment broken out line by line, so you can borrow against real figures instead of a guess.
For a plain-English rundown of the common options — cash, home equity, pool loans — see our guide to paying for a pool.

Pool financing questions
We work with Lyon Financial as our preferred lender — a national lender that has specialized in swimming pool financing since 1979. You apply directly with them online, and their team handles approval and funding. You're also completely free to use your own bank, credit union, home equity, or cash — our itemized quotes work with any funding path.

No. Lyon is simply the pool-financing specialist we point customers to when they ask where to start. Cash, HELOCs, home equity loans, and your own bank or credit union are all common ways our customers fund projects — and our quote is the same itemized number no matter how you pay.
Yes. Financing isn't only for new construction — renovations, resurfacing, equipment overhauls, and outdoor living projects can be financed too. Lyon finances outdoor projects broadly, and home equity routes work for any home improvement.
No. Your quote is the same itemized number whether you pay cash or finance. We deliberately keep the pool price and the loan terms separate so you can always see exactly what the pool costs and exactly what the money costs — never a bundled payment designed to blur the two.
Venture Pool Company is a pool builder, not a lender, and does not originate, broker, or service loans. Financing is provided by third-party lenders, including Lyon Financial, and all applications, approvals, rates, and terms are between you and the lender, subject to credit approval. Nothing on this page is financial advice — for the “what should I do” conversation, talk to your banker, lender, or financial advisor.
